Ben Holman started out in London as an award-winning Art Director, before packing a camera on his back, and setting out to film the world.
He likes to divide his time between London and Rio de Janeiro, in pursuit of subjects that interest him, often related to sport, music and social issues. Commercial client credits include Sol, Red Bull and Havana Club, some of which Ben has then gone on to do feature documentaries for. This is where his experience of working on large productions as well as alone in somewhat testing environments, truly comes to life. Feature documentaries include “Walk it Home”, about a blues band from Beirut and their pilgrimage to Mississippi and Gilles Peterson’s “Brazil Bam Bam Bam: the Story of Sonzeira”, a brilliant exploration of the roots of Brazilian music.
One of Ben’s most recent films "The Good Fight" has been building up an impressive collection of awards including the prestigious "Best Documentary Short" at Tribeca Film Festival 2017.
